Instead, they find the courier dying and his backup courier, the young, haughty, and inept Carra Trenta Wolcutt, has a new mission for them: travel to The Fel and retrieve specimens of the herb rovaldia for her to take back to Tumberland.

But when Carra vanishes, the BSI must seek the aid of the wild Fel People, who reveal that Carra has been kidnapped and taken to the Seph lords’ hunting lodge deep in The Fel.
